Hopefully todays news will point the share price back in the right direction!

Hi @Henners21

Not seen/received any updates myself but having had a quick search there’s a post on LSE share chat saying an email released today at 7am looks the same as the RNS from last Monday (16th):

https://tools.eurolandir.com/tools/Pressreleases/GetPressRelease/?ID=4229191&lang=en-GB&companycode=au-cey&v=

Could you please confirm if this is correct or if you have more positive news?! :crossed_fingers:

TIA

Yes sorry the same just re read it! Half asleep this morning noticed the date. Someone must have resent the email in error!

Back to penny stock status…

Dividend is showing as due on the 23rd June. I’ve still not received it?

How is this going to be implemented at FT?
From RNS

Under the terms of the Transaction, Centamin Shareholders will be entitled to receive:
for each Centamin Share:
0.06983 New AngloGold Ashanti Shares; and
$0.125 in cash

FT doesn’t offer ASX:AGG. So what will happen to those stocks? Sold at market price and cash deposited? Or else would it be possible to get the transactional value of 163p for each CEY share?

The terms of the Transaction value each Centamin Share at 163 pence based on the Closing Price of US$28.80 per AngloGold Ashanti Share and a £:US$ exchange rate of £1:US$1.3080 on 9 September 2024 (being the last Business Day before the date of this Announcement) (the “Offer Value”).

AngloGold moved its primary listing from Johannesburg to New York last year to access deeper pools of capital, in the hope of boosting its valuation.

$AU is available on FT. So hope to get some $AU stocks

I Genuinely dont know what to do with this one. I’m almost 90% up on this stock. Do i sell or hold out for the AU shares?

Only you can really decide that  but I’ve held them previously can’t remember what I sold on for?
You are £550+ up and maybe you get £12 a (1/4 quarter) giving you £48 per year that’s 10 years of dividend to reach that profit line!

It all depends if you believe in the company and think it’s worth while!

A lot of these mining company are up and down volatile,

@Lenny Centamin has been a great stock for me. Consistent dividends and good growth. Im just not as confident that Anglo Gold will perform as well. If i look at it on a cost price basis i get 50 AU Shares worth $1450 for the £614 my Centamin shares cost. Or I sell realise the profit and buy something else. This is one of five mining stocks i hold. The other ones being Evraz, Petropavlovsk, Ferrexpo and Solgold and the less said about them the better.
