Coinbase - COIN

Revenue dropped 40% from the previous quarter. This is the problem of a transactional business model that is pegged to volatility. Maybe I’m old fashioned but the last 3 months seems volatile enough.

My coin base is pure quick money in, hold and sell! I don’t keep buying… I don’t see the point, it’s just a another ‘good’ time to buy again… then wait for the £400 mark. Then sell… boom! Profit for more stable investments!! My opinion only!!!

Why has Coinbase dropped so much?

  1. its correlated to the price of bitcoin
  2. in Q3 the growth rate decline a lot vs Q2
  1. most tech stocks crashed

May see in increase in share price when the US market opens

Hi, would Coinbase fit in a diversification strategy even though the graph does not look good?

There’s no real historical data on Coinbase as they only IPO’d last year.

It also depends on what you mean by diversified. If you think they fit a section of your portfolio with little overlap then it might work. They’re a young company and will need to keep improving to stay ahead.

Their revenue is linked to the rise of bitcoin so is not wholly in their control

What does a good graph look like? P/E looks pretty good.

any graph that doesn’t look like the stock is crashing

It looks great. Might be looking to buy some if it goes lower. Need to check their financial statements

Those are the best graphs! As long as the fundamentals are still there.

YIKES. I like Coinbase for what it’s worth, they’ve worked hard to pull up the standards for what a Crypto company can be.

I noticed this on Twitter

That’s actually in the 10-Q quarterly report. Of course, if you keep your crypto off the exchange in a private wallet then you are safe, and it’s unlikely Coinbase is going anywhere.
