How can anyone say? It’s impossible.

There are so many different ways a company could be acquired that it’s pointless speculating.

You may get payment in cash straight away…spread out over several years…you might get shares in the acquiring company…you might get a mix of both…you might get paid in Argos vouchers…anything is possible.

Several hundred thousand £ on an Argos gift card. That would be something :joy:

Will the shares from the last CLN convert to A or B shares or…?

I haven’t seen any mention of this, apologies if it’s addressed elsewhere…

Thats just a million I think they were really hoping for £2.5 mill

mil was the target

B shares

That’s the target set on Crowdcube not what Freetrade’s goal is.

They will probably just hit the Ā£2.5 mill target which would be on-track for the ā€œbase planā€. However, to realize the ā€œgrowth planā€ expectation was to get Ā£7 mill in this round…which I don’t think it would happen.

( see slide 25 of the pitch deck for reference)

Well on the way!

Is hype not a factor in valuations?

After investing on the over estimated value of Freetrade in Nov 2021 and the failure of Coconut last month or so, I think I have learnt my lessons with Crowdfunding and will now rather invest in the stock market for the long term. Sorry

FT just published updated May numbers on crowdcube. The EBITDA loss for May has been revised down to £0.4M. This is down from £0.6/0.7M they mentioned at the crowdfunding meetup. Veeery close to profitability.

Well I invested in the end, only through in a grand, so will bring my average down slightly. Didn’t really fancy putting anymore in.

Will existing shareholders with more than Ā£10k value (> 3,850) also receive the monthly business updates? I’d really hope so…

I have the same question.

Did I hear right?
The last CLN round will be converted to B shares at a 20% discount to the new price of £2.60?
Or did I dream that;)

I don’t think you dreamt this unless we had the same dream
