Crowdfunding round seven, Wed 24th Nov 2021 🎉

Juno is always derailing threads and causing disruption (not in a good way) wherever he goes, and he doesn’t get the message, good if he’s been banned in Crowdcube too.

At this point in time, I draw two conclusions:

  • conclusion 1: judging by the progresses of this round now the UK has closed, the notoriety of Freedtade is inexistant out of the UK

  • conclusion 2: since so far only the UK bought into this campain, the share price was unusefully cheap given the crowd would have bought it regardless. Therefore more dilution and less bargaining power with VCs

I think Freetrade needs to call it a day and close the campain @ £9m. It was always the risk launching this round without any support in the EU.

What was the non-UK crowdfunding amount and how much has been crowdfunded outside UK? I’m not sure where to find this info, I’m just interested as a shareholder. It gives some indication as to the interest outside the UK, but still early days.

There’s 8m in each tranche and the UK tranche has been filled

Think it was mentioned somewhere that UK tranche was €8m and EU was €8m, so with UK tranche is closed, I can assume that out of the current £8.5m raised about £6.5m is UK and £2.0m is EU. But that’s purely an assumption as there could be RoW investors too.

I wouldn’t even think it’s FT’s responsibility to market the raise in EU, but the responsibility of Crowdcube to do so.

It’s just for EU, I had it confirmed in the live chat on the app.

The lower EU demand makes sense to me, Freetrade has been saying they are launching ‘soon’ in the EU in every raise since R3/4. A lot of EU investors probably bought in earlier rounds and are patiently awaiting launch. I can’t imagine many of them topping up their investment until Freetrade delivers (:crossed_fingers:2022).

€2M is still a lot of money, hardly an ‘utter disaster’ :joy:

To be fair, the company was little more than a pitch deck in R1&2

I think any who think EU raise is slow are just blinded by how amazingly quick the UK lot went. I invested in an EU fintech and it took 4 days for the raise to hit 1M Euro and they are

" Fastest-growing Fintech in Spain 4 years in a row (Financial Times)"

so it looks like FT are doing pretty darn well for a company that hasn’t even launched in the EU yet. :stuck_out_tongue:

Who qualifies for Freetrade Plus For LIfe?

I invested in Rounds 1, 2. 4 and 6. I’m wondering now if I qualify?

Depends how much you invested in each of those rounds.

OK. thank you Vincent.

It was £1K in R1 and 2. I think it went up to £5K after that. then even higher?

Quick note.
Apols @Freetrade_Team - looks like I did receive my email for Crowdfund.
Havent a clue still which folder it got thrown into, but upon a proper scour for something else, I came across emails from Viktor. Lucky I didnt make a big deal of it…

I invested from round 2 (15p per share) and I get free everything. But I think it depends on how much you invested. I think it was £1000 minimum Freetrade successfully raised £300,000 - Feb 2017.

Crowdcube and my portfolio now say 24 days to go instead of 2 days this morning. Is this just CC mixing up UK and EU?
