Just to be clear. My understanding of this is that the whole of the EU is now in play. Well done Freetrade. Actual. Legends.

Max is amazing, gets the scoop so quickly! Not sure if you’re on the forum Max, but appreciate your work!

My understanding is we can operate in Sweden and need to apply to others via the “Passporting” system which is much less work for the remainder of the EU.

He was around in the past but can’t remember a user name. Either way - great scoop Max I’m sure the FT PR team love you right now!! :joy::joy:

Looks like it was updated on the 22nd. They’ve had four days to put something out….

Hopefully they don’t sit on their hands like the Swedish regulator did. Missed their SLA by at least three months…

I am here, thank you, happy to share this great news with all. I have been checking fi.se for months but wasn’t the first one today to come across the news.

I stay away from the forum mostly. There is so much politics on the forum and some shareholder groups that I have no time for.

For anyone interested to get updates about Freetrade or Revolut do follow me on Twitter @maxkarpis.

I’m personally really surprised at the relatively muted response from the forum to this news. If this does in fact now enable us to roll out across EU markets then for me this is MONSTER news and MASSIVE milestone.

It’s On Like Donkey Kong :gorilla::ladder:

Agreed, seems a bit … low key, maybe people are waiting for the official announcement before getting excited.

Hello can we send free share referals to people in other countries?

Yesterday, we onboarded our first beta testers for our Swedish app and we’re planning to continue to roll out a beta version in the coming months.

Noticed that it says in the coming months.

Thought it was just waiting for the license and the app itself was all ready.

It may launch for the summer.

Hopefully they are already applying for the cross boarder licensing so they can starting lauching in other countries asap.

Does anyone know how big the waiting list for sweden is now.
