I am new on freetrade and read about fraction US shares. How does that work ?

Let’s you buy fractions of a share instead of whole shares. Basically makes shares with high share prices more accessible. AMAZON, ALPHABET share price is in the thousands, with fractional shares you can have as much or as little exposure as required, instead of buying in $2,000 increments.

so it depends on how much money I want to invest and app will calculate and offer me accordingly.

I believe that’s correct yes. You could buy £100 worth of Alphabet and it’d give you the proportional amount of 1 share of Alphabet ~2625/138=~0.05Alphabet shares
