I’m honestly baffled by the lack of basic security features at Freetrade. As a fintech company managing people’s assets, you would expect them to have robust, user-friendly security options, but here we are.
Last year, when Freetrade introduced their website, they asked users to create a password and set up two-factor authentication (2FA). Seems standard, right? Well, now I’m trying to reset my phone and want to change my 2FA, but guess what? There’s no option to reset 2FA, no backup codes, and no way to reset your password.
This is basic stuff, and it’s honestly shocking that it’s missing. For a company handling financial assets, this level of disorganization is inexcusable. And to make matters worse, if you need help, you’re stuck waiting up to 3 days for customer support. No priority, even for paying customers.
It’s beyond frustrating. Freetrade doesn’t even offer a range of more secure MFA options like security keys, which is something any modern fintech platform should have by default.
As a paying customer, I’m left wondering how something this critical could be overlooked. I can’t be the only one who’s frustrated by this. Has anyone else faced similar issues or have any workarounds? I really hope Freetrade steps up their game, because this is just ridiculous.
