I received this from SWS today. I think I’m gonna sick to my assumption that shorts still haven’t covered personally.
Yeah, that seems legit.
Maybe they’ve taken stock split into account
Haha. Indeed. Maybe they’ve just written what their ultimate boss told them to write. Maybe someone who has huge short exposure.
Possibly expecting a big drop to around $40 before another big rip. I know what I’m doing.
Scrap that - spicy new tweet from Ryan Cohen. Bull signal? https://twitter.com/ryancohen/status/1526179671192309760
Sooo, Melvin Capital is gone?
Next hedge plz.
Who got shorts hidden in total return swaps?
RICO me harder.
What impact will Melvin’s demise have? Do they still have open positions on GME and what happens if they default?
If its done through total return swaps we need to wait and see.
The cost to borrow GME shares is rocketing. Buckle up.
100-300% cost to borrow**.
Let’s see what happens when collateral collapses.
Edit: *not short interest **
Where do you get that from? I see ~23% when I search
Yesterday
Ibkr showing 104% aprox
That’s not the short interest, short interest is the percentage of the float that is currently sold short, 424K is not the float
That 104% is the cost to borrow not the Short Interest, The current official short interest is about 23% of the float - around 15million shares.
That’s the official story. Nobody who’s read any of the background stuff believes that.
Damn just about to do a fly edit on that
This is where I looked, shows 23.84% currently
Mind you, even if there was pressure to buy back the 15million officially shorted shares, that would be putting a lot of upward momentum on the price. GME has 12million+ shares directly registered + insiders + institutions and it’s a very small float. Fascinating times.
