Greatland Gold - GGP - Share Chat

From memory they time scale was for newcrest and GGP to mutually agree a price, which they haven’t done. I believe it’s now gone to independent arbitration. I have no frame of reference for how long that takes but I must admit I’ve been expecting it sooner rather than later.

As Tubby mentions above, now that they’ve triggered the option to buy the 5% there’s no deadline for it to be resolved.
Shaun Day has mentioned several times recently that he expects it to be concluded soon.
IMO the longer they take reflects how hard SD is fighting for fair value. Whilst there’s a cut off of mid December 2021 for data used to assess fair value for the 5%, NCM will look more and more foolish the longer this drags on with more and more drill data highlighting how large a deposit Havieron is.

Greatland Gold plc is pleased to announce the commencement of the 2022 exploration programme at its 100% owned projects in the highly prospective Paterson province of Western Australia.

I clicked into this and was like “oh well it’s not news on the newcrest sale / valuation” so who cares… then I realised a ton of people are going to look at every RNS until that happens and thing the same thing… and that’s coming from me, a holder who has some faith in the other prospects. That really needs to get settled asap or the SP is going nowhere imo

I am more interested in the 100% owed projects hoping that they have Havieron levels of gold.

Havieron announcement will probably cause a sell the news event which always seem to happen with this stock.

Canadian mining investor Sprott has started research coverage of Aussie gold explorer Greatland Gold PLC (AIM:GGP, OTC:GRLGF) with a bullish update.
Edit

Sprott added it expects a potential expanded stoping operation, requiring only A$200mln (£114mln) capex for a second conveyor decline, might lift production to 723,000oz annually, including 600,000oz of gold, and take the estimated net present value from A$993m to A$3.8bn.

Buy with a 17p price target is Sprott’s view with the key drivers ahead the resource, fourth-quarter bankable feasible study and debt funding, ahead of 2024 production.

Hi everyone, my English is not the best so can someone explain this last news in a short and easy way?
Good news or bad?
Many thanks

Good news.

From Drew post above seems like an institutional investor specialised in mining (Sprott) believe Greatland Gold will do well. There is more gold than previously thought and their target price target is 0.17.

Thank you for the easy to understand explanation!
Very glad that we have good news

I don’t really understand this:

Why would Five Diggers agree to a lower share payout with increased lockup period? There doesn’t seem to be any benefit to them and I haven’t seen it explained. What am I missing?

Interesting arguments going on at the LSE chat boards.

A true divergence of opinion as to the meaning of this to the GGP share price; it does suggest their chat does have a lot of fake accounts designed to ramp or deramp.

Anyway, this looks like good news to me: if it proceeds then GGP should be debt free which is a game changer for a small company like that. Let’s hope management take full advantage.

Zoom call with Shaun Day at 3:30pm today (check the London South East website for the link).

It’s a great outcome IMO for the 5% deal - it wipes out GGP’s debt with NCM (and then some) and allows them to seek debt funding for the remaining capex required for the mine build.

Hello to everyone,
Will the price of a GGP share ever arrive at the levels of BARRICK GOLD one’s in around 2024?

I guess never say never. But honestly not a hope in hell.

Barrick is one of the worlds biggest gold miners with a $27bn market gap. GGP is a junior with a 25% stake in a mine that’s still under construction and some other exploration targets yet to return any really significant drill results.

I’m positive about GGP but even long term I doubt they’ll become a $27bn company let alone by 2024! I’d love to be proved wrong though

Some of the established GGP posters set up their own forum called GGPChat cos they were fed up of the fake accounts and strange moderation on LSE
