Anyone seen the article in The Australian? If yes, can you post here please?
Greatland Gold ā Newcrest and Newmont ready to chat after recent standoff could be very good news.
Some progress on the takeover news which could be great news for Greatland
Morning progress on the Newmont takeover of Newcrest as the deal enters exclusivity stage
Nice.
Long hold for me.
The news not as significant as I initially thought.
Well it could be. Itās a good strike but itās very deep. And itās just one hole atm⦠I think there are a lot of people, myself included, that are a little cautious on this share and really waiting for the first production now.
Looks like GGP have a new parent company
Not a parent company but a company they have a joint interest gold mine with.
Thanks Roger, appreciate the addendum
Greatland Gold plc (AIM:GGP) (Greatland or the Company) is pleased to announce that the Company has entered into a farm-in and joint venture arrangement with global mining group Rio Tinto (ASX/LSE:RIO), to accelerate exploration across 1,884km² of highly prospective tenure within the Paterson Province of Western Australia (Paterson South Project) located near the Companyās world-class Havieron gold-copper project1 (Havieron).

Looks like 2 pieces of good news in one day!
But no doubt the share price will go down
Thinking about it, this is what that little 8% rise on Friday was all about.
Almost like the news was leaked or rumours started before the official RNSā.
Perish the thought.
There are a few aim shares that miraculously react to news before it is released to the public.
It sounds good but I donāt really understand why Rio (via RTX) would want to give away 51% or the prospects for just $1.1mn aud? That kind of money is fairly inconsequential to Rio, so they surely canāt see that much upside to the prospects or they would just do the drilling themselves?
Thoughts on SP action. Back into the 6ās again, painful share to hold. Strange goings on indeed.
