Greatland Gold - GGP - Share Chat

I wouldn’t worry too much you have possibly received a generic answer. They have Greatland now I’m not use any consolation will change things with the U.K. registered business.

Roger I’m unsure what you mean. The company will be relisting under a completely new ticker and will dual list on AIM and ASX. The company will be the current parent company Greatland Resources. The consolidation will take 20 GGP shares and issue 1 greatland resource share. If freetrade aren’t equipped for the greatland resources for whatever reason then your shares will be sold on your behalf and the money in your account.

Also it wasn’t a generic answer, it was a long conversation discussing issues I’ve previously had with freetrade in particular the previous raise and my concerns that I can’t wait for ‘we may add the new company’ when there is a lot of money at play. It’s a shoddy way to run a business

Hi, sorry please disregard my previous answer you will need to do what you think best re the risk that freetrade won’t support Greatland post the June changes personally I would be very surprised if they don’t

Re the raise previously I believe that in the freetrade ts and cs it says about not being able to take part in votes share issues etc I bought at equal to the raise price in the market anyway so it wasn’t an issue for me.

Price never quite hit the raise price so you did well, and your previous post likening your broker to insurance suggests you weren’t happy either so I’m guessing you’re just being contrary for contrary sake.

Either way, I’m making others aware of what I’ve had back after lengthy discussions with freetrade as some of us have been in this share since the first day it landed on Freetrade so to not be able to continue after the new listing would be devastating. Each to their own but I’ll be transferring my isa completely over to elsewhere.

Fair dos pal I think they will sort it but keep an eye on for sure . Best of luck

If they don’t provide the new shares in ggp then I’ll be off too. I have far too many ggp shares on the platform and don’t want any issues when they list on the asx

If anyone does leave I would be cautious if thinking of T212 as a choice I have started an account there and buying aim shares like greatland isnt always instant like it is here and there can be long delays between order and execution.

Good point. I never wpud consider 212 for a number of reasons. Reluctantly may go back to hl

I’ve just caught up after receiving an email to inform me about replies to the thread and I’m somewhat concerned. I have my entire life savings in this share and have been invested since 2020 and I’m currently down nearly £8,000 but I’m in for the long term.

If Freetrade won’t be hosting the new shares after the consolidation in June (Which I find hard to believe} then what would happen please? Would all of my shares in GGP be sold for what they’re worth at that time which would mean that I run the risk of losing approximately £8,000 or more because if that’s the case then I just can’t take the risk and would have explore other options.

Any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Don’t know anything about the new shares, but just want to say putting your life savings in any single stock is risky enough, putting them in a junior mining penny stock is a whole other level of riskiness. Junior miners go bust or get snapped up by bigger companies all the time.

Hi agree with the above post it was ballsy putting so much money in to greatland hopefully you will see a profit in the not too distant future.
Don’t take this the wrong way but you have already lost the 8k you just haven’t crystalised the loss yet if in the worst case happened ( unlikely) and you had to be cashed out by freetrade you could transfer the money and buy new shares else where and be in a similar position.

Also looking back at the share price 2020 was when this was t at a very high price (before my entry) you picked a bad time to invest in what will hopefully be a very good long term holding.

My average is 20p and we’re just short of 16p now so no concerns here, I’ve always been in this for the long term.

I bet you puckered a bit when it was in the 5p range.

I was surprisingly calm as I know the fundamentals inside out and knew how much Havieron would be worth in the long term.

Good answer I agree with you. if I had been in your position I would certainly have felt puckering

My average is 6p so I’m not too worried, but I’ve invested for the long term and believe the company has more to go? Any clarification on what will happen and if we get the option to buy if it’s passed at the next shareholder meeting ?

Back down into the 13’s. My average is 0.17. I’ll be happy to get my money back perhaps a little extra and then I’m out. It’s been a painful hold.

The share price will undoubtedly go through many ups and downs, as all do. The price of gold is a significant factor, and I believe will continue to be even if a peace settllement is reached in Ukraine.
What is of more immediate concern to me is how Freetrade are going to manage the transition from Greatland Gold to Greatland Resources post consolidation and listing on the ASX.
I’ve written to them asking for clarification, but so far only got a vague “we’ll be in touch if necessary” response which doesn’t reassure me.
So today I’ve written again asking for more clarification and reassurance, and will post any response I get on here.
PS Freetrade, as holders of the nominee account, will be the ones to get the documents being sent out today as part of the process. Whether we, as the beneficial owners of the shares, get to see it and then indeed vote on the proposals, is another issue.

Thanks for that, I’ve read today in a company release that 20 GGP shares will be worth 1 GRL share.
I wonder how this will really effect the value even though GGP are saying there should be no loss in share price at the time of swap over ?
