Has to be to do with forward projections with how the long dated gilts are being priced at, remember the US (I know not UK) are pricing in 2 cuts instead of 4. It felt too good to be true and I had been trimming UKW, GCP and TRIG as they were performing too well 
, want to get back in, but for the reasons you state, I’m holding off so only hold a modest amount in each currently. HICL and INPP doing badly aswell, frustrating.

I’m not really bothered about losses at this stage. It just means I can buy more at a lower price. That and it helps the buy back. I’m Gna keep topping up maybe reach an average of 1.15 if I’m lucky
It’s tricky isn’t it, I told myself that lense aswell, trouble is you can get over 4% risk free for the foreseeable, which will build capital allowing you to buy these shares anyway, there is no point receiving a 10% dividend if your capital has deprecated 15%.
I’m not saying this will happen here, but it’s worth considering shares can and will go down, a discount doesn’t mean it will revert to par, afterall these types of funds only traded at par or better when rates were near zero and they were the hot new thing on the block.
Balance is key here, I was a tad over balanced towards infrastructure and rate sensitives, I’ve started to tend to that issue so I’m probably biased towards a more doom outlook.

True but at least we can buy more shares on the cheap with the dividend ey?
I’m hoping the price stays low, I have chunky dividends coming next week

Ah crisis averted it wasn’t there this morning when I looked.
That’s another 1m shares bought back in 3 days. Here’s hoping we get another 9 million or so cleared before the buy back ends. It would be great if we could get the shares in issue under 2 billion but that’s not Gna happen for a while
It’s slowly eating itself bit by bit! I mean it’s share holder accretive, so it’s all good.

Back to normal another 433k bought back today.
Tommorow we will be below 2229 billion shares.
At this rate we will be under 2200 billion shares soon

At this rate (say they buy 500k every trading day) they will ‘soon’ be under 2200 billion shares in the year…2256
