Have Accumulating ETFs vs distributing income version

I was wondering what the rationale was to choose for the Distributing version of ETFs versus the Accumulating? E.g. iShares Core FTSE 100 UCITS ETF (Distr.)
Can you add the Accumulating versions as well?

One possible rationale is that when Freetrade started out and added the ETFs, there was no ISA account.
Accumulating ETFs are more difficult to deal with from a tax perspective, so having them in your GIA would be annoying.
Now that there’s an ISA, it makes sense to offer the acc versions, I agree.
