Hi all. I’m brand new to Freetrade, so be gentle 
I’ve opened my account and have requested an initial transfer (of cash) from my existing SIPP which is with HL.
Any ideas how long this transfer might take to show up in my Freetrade SIPP?

Thank you for posting. Cash transfers for SIPPs typically take four to six weeks but some can complete quicker while others take longer, depending on the other provider!
Wow - 4-6 weeks? That’s insane.

I recently did an in-specie SIPP transfer from HL to Freetrade. It took 18 days. Am surprised that cash transfers are expected to take longer.
I’m so old that I remember when bank transfers used to take days instead of being instantaneous!
They can be quite a bit quicker to be honest, but the four to six week time frame is just a general guide we give. The average times are dragged up significantly unfortunately by some of the larger workplace providers that have lots of paper forms that require wet signatures and similar!
The platforms (as you say) tend to be much much quicker.
