My current provider transferred a substantial amount of cash with a fast transfer two days ago, but the money has still not reached my Freetrade account. I’ve chased this with Freetrade several times on email and in-app chat without luck and now feel compelled to raise the issue here in the hope of a speedy resolution.
I have made some transfers to my SIPP in the past as well and this can take a couple of days after the transfer from the old provider is complete. I wouldn’t worry too much unless the money doesn’t appear after 5 working days.
Took ages for my two SIPP transfers to go through, about 8 weeks or more in total. Even when Aviva had transferred the money from their side it took 4-5 workng days to clear.
If you go into ‘Account’ and select ‘view break down’ you can see the money pending, which at least gives you some re-assurance.
Freetrade did resolve it all and everything worked out!
Worth noting one transfer did end up returned to Aviva and had to be t re-ransfered again but all good in the end. Everything Aviva related was slow!
