Friend of mine signed up in the last week (not sure exactly when). His user no is just over 111k
Iām pretty sure I saw an advert on Reddit yesterday for Freetrade, so maybe they are stepping up their advertising campaign.
Iāve seen a few adverts for them on Instagram recently
I think itās probably quite a good time to spend on advertising. But not OTT, they might need that recent fundraise to last longer than plannedā¦
I see competitorsā ads on my way to work for the past couple of weeks. I guess they are geared up for ISA season perhaps.
I donāt know the economics, but would be intrigued to know which one is higher margin business: ISA, GIA, SIPP etc?
Theyāre absolutely bombing me on Youtube.
Plus500 & Trading 212 every other advert.
Browser fingerprinting.
At least theyāre burning money on the wrong audience.
This is why one has to build a truly differentiable business. To a less experienced user both appsā screenshots would look the same and the first app has more ratings.
Itās a zero to 1 vs one to N dilemma.
Also, this forum uses GoogleAnalytics. Youtube is an Alphabet company.
eToro is the other one I see advertising heavily, but it isnāt doing too well. People arenāt rating the app at all and itās only rated 3.5 stars
