Just landed in my account

Yes my whopping £9.99 has landed

But 9.99 a month is nearly 120 quid a year… That buys a lot more at 21p each

Dropping like a stone

Mostly due I think to the proposed changes in dividends almost halving

Also they are changing the dividends from monthly to quarterly, add also currently lower energy prices and savings rates on bonds of greater than of circa 5.5%, , 5.9% with Coventry fixed for a year then it makes dividends hunter think twice as to where to store money short term

Decided to get my feet wet, and hey the dividend % price is crazy. So worth a punt I think

Dividends announced:

0.2565 p per share so a % yeild of ~7% or so currently.

Any news why this is tanking more that usual  thought with prices being higher than before it was be rising :pensive:

I’d guess your standard recession fears. Data back showing UK economy stagnant for this past quarter people taking the time to rid themselves of lesser performing stocks to move into other areas. Still not as bad of a swing as Diageo today though unfortunately I have both :frowning:

But this is oil and gas, what has or is to rocketing up, so should naturally be making bigs profits

Something to do with a courtcase concerning previous option issues

Oh right I didn’t know about that, that’s not good then court cases never end well and doing something wrong if even going to them
That’s my investment stopped for the foreseeable.
Thanks :+1:t2: @Trencherpilot

Im keeping what I have and investing the divs elsewhere. The case I only know about due to another investment forum. The business is still sound.

Anyone still holding this?

I was just finishing building a position for the 13% yield and now there’s a possible takeover.

I wanted to see how people feel about the issuance of Gran Tierra shares as part of the deal, as from what i am aware they are not listed on freetrade so i am guessing we would not get any of those.

Yes, I’m still holding.
Between me and my late father’s account, I’ve got around 27300.
So, back of a fag packet calculation, if I’m reading it right. Around £70 for the i3e September dividend and £0.1043 / share, so a little under £3k? Please correct me if I’m wrong.
But what happens to the 130 Gran Tierra Shares (27329/207)? I have no idea.

Freetrade will sell them and return the cash at a guess.

I was down on i3e from a capital perspective but if a slightly improved offer can come in will probably break even with dividends.

The Alberta gas price has been a real drag recently and just doesn’t seem to be able to climb. For that reason I welcome the offer, but the recent financial statements were better than I anticipated so was becoming more optimistic!

If an improved offer comes in I would be inclined to vote for it…not that we have a choice with Freetrade

I’d be happy if Freetrade sold them and I received the cash.
It will be annoying, and unfair, if i just lose them.
I seem to remember reading a post somewhere regarding another takeover that said just that though. I’ve been searching but i can’t find it

I asked the question this morning and they are getting back to me in time, I then also checked to see their aren’t on here :man_facepalming:t2: even at £0.13p I’m still in the red my AVG is £0.1625
If they are to at least come on freetrades, for every 207 i3E shares would get you 1 GTE share!

I wanted to sell for awhile tbh and if it got near that avg price I would have! We will have to wait on
freetrades decision?
