iShares Core MSCI Emerging Markets IMI UCITS ETF - EMIM

The Fund seeks to track the performance of an index composed of large, mid and small cap companies from emerging markets countries.

This is essential as you cannot currently create a global portfolio made up of developed world and emerging market without going for an MSCI tracked developed world ETF and a FTSE emerging markets ETF.

This causes you to have zero exposure to countries like South Korea, which MSCI considers an emerging market, while FTSE considers it developed.

IMO this is an issue that must be addressed ASAP

This is now available, right?

Yes it is.

Well, there’s the Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets UCITS ETF (LSE ticker: VFEM) which tracks the FTSE Emerging Index which includes South Korea. It’s a distributing ETF, so you will get some cash income from it.

VFEM doesn’t include South Korea.

There’s a distributing version of the iShares Emerging market fund that includes Sth Korea

Ah, sorry. Mixed the two up. It’s MSCI Emerging Markets that includes South Korea.

Yeah, though not on FT currently. (Wasn’t sure if that was the request.)

It’s also an order of magnitude smaller than the distributing version of the ETF.

Neither of those points are in the request?
