Kanabo Group - KNB - Share Chat

The alcohol industry was one of the Industry’s responsible for the demonisation of cannabis a hundred years ago, with the formation of the DEA under Harry Anslinger.
Anslinger has been characterized as an early proponent of the [war on drugs] as he zealously advocated for and pursued harsh drug penalties, in particular regarding [cannabis] As a propagandist for the war on drugs, he focused on demonizing racial and immigrant groups.

That skunk ain’t so potent as the media claim. In fact I came across a strain recently which had been tested at 37% THC

Looks like someone is checking out today with 200k trades going through.
Hopefully not a significant holder as this tends to overreact in a downward movement to relatively small sellers.

Yeah I think after the interviews on linkedin, there may have been some expectations for formal market news. But radio silence alongside the apparent non-starter of the CE mark with a fundraise starting to loom on the horizon, the CE mark in particular is troubling; also, during the interviews the CEO said something along the lines that the delay was because the regulators do not understand the product. That kind of comment does worry me. Amusing as such a remark may appear, does this mean Kanabo are not working to acknowledge where the lack of understanding is, and how they might remedy the lacking? I’m sure they are working hard, but a throwaway comment like that can make a company look inflexible which consequentially adds too much flexibility to the share price.

I remain positive long term but unless there are number of what are beginning to feel like miracles, the share price is going to hurt.

Just IMHO but having done some research I firmly believe we are seeing the UK cannabis industry wanting to become a cartel. With certain companies having close ties with government, and shepherding them while looking to control the market.
This is obviously no surprise as cannabis has been used as a means of control for a hundred years through prohibition. The difference now is while the people may gain access to this wonderful plant it will still be on a very much restricted basis and at a high price.
How might this be effecting our investment in Kanabo?
By delaying the issuance of a CE mark for the vape pod the public are being denied the opportunity to experience the healing powers of cannabinoid based medicine’s, on prescription which have not been through the usual lengthy trials associated with traditional pharmaceutical medicine. I realise that cannabis flowers are available on prescription but there’s a huge portion of society who would never dream of smoking or vaping flower. To me what the vape pod offers is as close to a purely medical micro dosage experience as you will get, and importantly it is very discrete, and that’s what’s needed to dispel the fake image of the demon weed.
This situation keeps people ignorant and prejudiced as to the virtues of this plant while big canna pharma, such as GWP /JAZZ establish themselves as the gate keepers.
I may be a paranoid conspiracy theorist, time will surely tell.
As to our investment I have for discounted the vape pod as an asset for the time being. I am still positive about the company based on the GP service and treat it so I will continue to hold.

Just because your paranoid, it doesnt mean they are not watching you.

I think it is understandable (but not great) that bigger companies will exercise their strength against smaller companies.

Whilst we dont know the cause of the delay we do know from the KNB brass that the regulatory body has never seen anything like it.

The additional problem is that the longer this wait gpes on, the longer our imagonation will be given license to grow.

There is information available online obtained by FOI request which shows clearly the collusion that’s going on between big players, don’t forget GWP had very close links to government. Novel foods applied to CBD is easily refuted but as ever the combined forces work together to mask reality.
As to why the wait for the CE mark it’s just speculation on my part but then the excuse that we have never seen anything like this doesn’t cut it, particularly when it causes years of delay. No this market is very heavily controlled in order to that the chosen ones will be first in line to reap all potential for wealth generation.
I don’t really think this will succeed in the long run but what it does is delay progress which benefits not just us share holders but the nation as a whole by having a healthier and wealthier society.

Could you elaborate, share intel on collussion if that wont mark you immediately by the SIS.

Im like you hugely frustrated, but I do think it is handy to remind ourselves that the legality of cannabis, even in Germany it is still being discussed. And slowness of legal regulation is going to put its mark on CE regulation. Also, the KNB medical device is a vape pen and however rigorous and accurate the research is (which it is), it is a tough approach to sell in the medical market when broadly vaping is disassociated from health benefits.

With each passing month I become less convinced the CE mark is any closer, but I do also believe that KNB have been smart on developing their UK market position. December is half year report time I think? That will give us a nice view on income, runway and the timeline for a raise.

From their half year report:

“Medical inhaler certification pending - Our partner team, responsible for corresponding with the Notified Body, has submitted revisions to the application file for our medical device, pursuant to a request from the Notified Body. At this time the issuance of a certification is pending the Notified Body’s further review of the application.”

Thank for digging out that gem. Was this last December? And before or after the parameters for CE mark issuance was changed?

Rainy days post is from today’s RNS not historical :+1:t2:

Ah yes, I’m blaming the weather for my lethargy. Great report with 55% increase on revenue.

Good steady period I guess. Revenue increase, cash balance and positive steps everywhere apart from the big one.
Sit tight for a good while longer I think
