Moving portfolio to Freetrade

Just wondering if people have a view on the best way to move existing shares?

I have a few sat in IG at the moment, not sure if I will have to sell them then rebuy them or if there is some kind of transfer mechanism?

Transferring portfolios from other Brokers

Just on the back of this, posting the latest information that came from the team on transfers We won’t have a direct portfolio transfer feature in the Beta - transfers require a lot of co-operation from the outgoing broker. We’re looking to implement it in the future though.

This isn’t available at launch, unfortunately!

At the moment you’ll have to buy in Freetrade and sell in your other broker (don’t forget trading fees).

I think I have seen that there may be some better way to move your portfolio down the development line but @stephen and @tommy have put it perfectly. I think it may be ideal to give it some more time and see if better ways of moving will come.
