So can anyone share if this structure has any similiarities to the stateside SPACs? I canā€™t find an actual prospectus, any information on redemption etc?

From total marker solutions:

Issued 43mil shares at 3p so already almost 60% up since listed and raised about Ā£1.3mil. That doesnā€™t sounds a lot of money, like the US SPACs have raised recently like 100s mil.

Not much detail about redemption etc. on their site either

They have suggested that they may look to merge with someone bigger, possibly in the Vanadium Flow Battery space, and there is the insinuation that they may look to target multiple acquisitions, but itā€™s a speculative play of course.

Not sure about this one just yet. Have they made any noises at all about where they intend to go?

Donā€™t forget Orange (Communications) and Kiwi (Travel).

Is there any background on the track record and reputation of the team leading this SPAC?

ā€œPineapple Power tipped in ā€œ12 Stocks To Watch in 2021ā€ column by TMSā€ - https://www.linkedin.com/company/pineapple-power-corporation-plc/

TMS are the marketing company PNPL is using.

Very odd trading activity as another person mentioned. Trying to inflate volume?

Could only find 2 of 4 of the directors listed on the official website on LinkedIn:

https://www.linkedin.com/company/pineapple-power-corporation-plc/people/

Only Clive de Larrabeiti is listed on both the company website and LinkedIn.

John Foster ā€œFounder & Manager: Corporate & Investment Communicationsā€ of PNPL as per LinkedIn profile isnā€™t mentioned on the company website, despite being a founding director.

John also appears to have 20 years experience as a Director of a ā€˜finance consultancyā€™ and as an Investment Advisor yet also appears to work as a landscape gardener https://www.reneweastlondon.com/post/happy-christmas

Also cant find any evidence of this: ā€œJohn has appeared in the international press, TV and radio providing analysis on economic events for Al Jazeera, the BBC, the FT, Daily Telegraph, Evening Standard, and various specialist finance and energy titles.ā€

Both profiles donā€™t install confidence. Clearly two financiers jumping on the EV hype train trying to make a buck.

If anyone can find the LinkedIn profiles of the other three directors listed on their website post them here so we can check them out.

Circa 70% from IPO price in 11 days.

No thanks.

I was initially excited about this stock but Iā€™ve also gone cold on itā€¦ mostly just after a single visit to their own website. It did not inspire confidence at all.

Likewise, and the only articles I could find about the company were paid for by PNPL themselves.

I canā€™t attest to John Fosterā€™s credentials, but I am connected with Clive on LinkedIn. This is a better overview of his background and experience: Clive De Larrabeiti ā€“ Truestone Capital.

I wouldnā€™t be surprised if PNPL targets a vanadium mining company.

Hi, is anyone else out there thinking that Pineapple Power and the newly available Rainbow Rare Earth mining company sound like natural bedfellows,?
Or has my due diligence just been swamped by congruous naming.
Last time that happened was the ev crash, I held onto TSLA but let NIO & LI go in favour of NKLS who I was sure was going to bounce back. Luckily TSLA saved me from ruin.
Iā€™m never sure about mining companies though, Iā€™ve never done really well with them.
Here Iā€™m just trying to spot the pair that will take off.
Anyone got any thoughts on the matter?

Is anyone else concerned about the small size of this? Theyā€™ve raised Ā£1.3m on float, market cap is currently c.Ā£2.8m. In the clean energy sector that isnā€™t a lot, and with spacs generally itā€™s tiny.

I think you answered all your own questions!

At least with some of the American spacs you highly successful and forward looking people like Chamath Palihapitiya heading them up or alternatively some big name in the investing space who you hope can translate their pass success in greed to a new venture.

With Pineapple, I donā€™t know whatā€™s going on. I hope itā€™s not just a get rich quick scheme for it founders but itā€™s really hard to see whatā€™s going on.
