Just out of curiosity I checked out who the biggest institutional holders of Realty income are and used dividendmax to calculate their dividend income. You can search any company on yahoo finance or similar and click the ‘Holders’ tab to see where the big money is from. Quick copy and paste of shares held into dividendmax payment calculator and the numbers are eye watering!

Vanguard and Blackrock are fund/etf managers. So, technically, they don’t get anything but their dividends get distributed among millions of clients in small chunks.

Add to it consistently reinvest divs and watch what happens.

This is actually the lowest I’ve seen this stock
I have no plans to sell, just a shame I can’t buy more at minute bought a recent dip at $63.08 well below my previous dip!

Strangely I’ve never been in the red with this stock  so when it goes up to $70 again it’ll be nice profit that I will never sell great divs and keeping till I’m a lot older, basically my saving pot (my bank) :bank: :+1:t2:

This isn’t financial advice just my outlook :moneybag::moneybag::moneybag:

How aren’t you in the red if this is the lowest you’ve seen it?

I was thinking the same. I think one or two people might need to ‘refine’ their dividend strategy once they begin understand things like interest rates and total return a tiny bit more.

Forex gains most likely?

Good point. If the pound continues to weaken, US dividends will seem more and more attractive.
