Redrow build premium houses through the UK, operating from regional offices in England and Wales. This firm are also involved in commercial property and contracting services.
Any other Redrow investors on Freetrade?
Does anyone know if a takeover bid is any nearer?
Earnings report is due out on Wednesday. Key metrics to look for will be profit (the squeeze on margin with material cost could bite), forward sold position & land bank value.
Redrow have taken a big step out of their London regions over the last few years consolidating their offices and not buying any more land in central London. With this bread and butter being commuter / market towns we’ll have to see how they look to fair over the next 12 months.
Have completely shut two regional offices in the south east, they’re bracing for very bad times to come.
There will be support for the housing industry coming in the autumn statement. Construction is a large slice of the whole economy and going into an election year they’ll need to do something.
I’d look for low-deposit mortgages with government-backed insurance like the original Help to Buy (2nd hand) and NewBuy (of about 10 years ago).
