Revolut Trading šŸ¦…

ā€œUncanny resemblanceā€, I have to say I’ve just taken a screenshot of FT’s discover tab and Revolut’s list and looked at them side by side. Reeaally similar, didn’t even bother using a different font.

Nonetheless as competition Revolut have to be taken very seriously with this

Lets say it is 300,000 - I wonder what proportion of those people will actually want to trade? And of the ones that do show interest and sign up, what proportion of those will actually be active?

I think we’ll be looking at numbers much closer to our (Freetrade) own user base, rather than being outdone by them.

Freetrade has nothing to worry about, we’re heading for big things!

Can you share the Revolut screenshot?

This is a huge market. Generally it is not competition that kills you it is poor execution and post the hiring of the new CTO I am pretty happy with the pipeline and pace of initiatives coming through

Loving all the free press for Freetrade that Revolut are generously generating. :grinning: Validates the model overall but each of the various platforms that emerge will have strengths and weaknesses. Room for a number of winners here.

Couldn’t agree more! Monzo, N26, Revolut (the list goes on) are all unicorns :unicorn:

Next stop Freetrade :freetrade:

First to market is key. Really hope I can access Freetrade from Ireland, before Revolut introduce ETFs etc. Currently use Revolut occasionally, on a basic free account. But if they were to increase what they offer, and it’s comparable to say Degiro for fees, I would consider it.

It’s a copy from a Russian website. I don’t have the access yet.

It does indeed resemble Russian Tinkoff broker but slightly worse

I do love the little graph on that system… probably not that useful in the long run but for a ā€˜ooooh’ factor its great!

Same here Anthony. It’s a pain and I invested. If FT is not implemented soon in Ireland I’m afraid I’ll just have to just start using De Giro or Revolut full time.

Edit: Waiting to pull the trigger with a few euros that I’ve saved

I’m also worried about Revolut using their vaults system to get more people on board. i.e nearly an Acorns type system down the line. Or at least advertising what the user can do with their savings.

I think you are incorrect, please have a read on their community forum. Especially their promises for launch dates and timelines. Over promise under deliver every single time.

I have got access to Revolut trading feature and if someone wants to buy US stocks then currently it is very easy as I can do instant top up as well can buy fractional shares. For me biggest pain on FT is instant top up as sometime due to market conditions there are interesting opportunities which I miss in FT.

As it is for only Metal customer, customer service is excellent. Generally I get response within 2 minutes

Any chance you could possibly say who and what type of companies are currently available to buy shares on Revolut?

I can see almost all the US stocks

Oh really, thought it was limited to few for now. Thanks.

Sure I read starting with 300???
