Will sit this out & wait for a correction especially given Nov election soon

What a joke that it’s worth more than say for example AMD

It’s already overvalued

When the shorts take the profit, then it will fall I believe

FT team little benefit of pushing for same day availability if the first hours of trading are missed.

The IPO game is completely rigged of course but just wondering how much sense it makes to spend your resources on getting same day availability when we can buy airbnb at 9x :-).

For retailers buying post pop dip is the only way to achieve some value…

Yeah, will keep an eye out in the next few days but wont be rushing into this one as of yet at this valuation.

Too much liquidity in the markets and too few opportunities = time to raise money

I just bought some Berkshire Hathaway instead. That gets me some indirect exposure to SNOW at the original IPO price.

So based on this, if Freetrade does an IPO is it worth just sitting on your hands until the shares hit the retail investors and then you double your money?

If the price increased immediately after IPO it may also mean that underwriters did a bad job and the company received less funding than possible.

Worthwhile remembering that with FT, RH etc the investment market is flooded with newbies (I count myself as one) who may be more liable to get caught up in the hype and will buy at any price once the IPO goes live inflating the price artificially.

Looks to be live. Just invested a massive fiver. Lambo soon :money_with_wings:

Sorry for the delay, everyone, we had some pricing issues.

The good news is that $SNOW is live on your app now, and we’re working to fix the historical pricing issue.

Damn it’s up over 200% - oh now I don’t know if I want to invest yet, it is just a freakin database at the end of the day isn’t it?

$270?! That escalated quickly!

Good sign of a bubble - when valuations are inexplicable to people working in the industry, but money flows in anyway because of fomo.

Tbh, I’ll just keep buying more Amazon.

Snowflake sells a database in the cloud that primarily relies on infrastructure from Amazon Web Services and has committed to spending $1.2 billion on technology from AWS over five years.

I hope for a time when Amazon will be broken up and AWS floats.
