Sorry to hear this. What was the job?
I am but a humble warehouse worker for the moment.
Lots of people with cool jobs, any other mere peasants like me?
Biz Dev in the fintech and capital markets sector.
Carpenter specialising in Oak framing and historic conservation
That sounds great fun! My hands use a keyboard most of the working day. I wish I could use them for woodwork!
VR Developer. I make training simulations for dangerous jobs.
I do sometimes consider becoming a Day Trader thoughā¦
Oh dearā¦ sounds like an innuendo
Whoops!
Iāll rephrase, I wish I wasnāt spending my days on the computer constantlyā¦
For which platform if I may ask? Can the average Joe have access?
HTC, Oculus and Pico. Most are not accessible to the general public. Some work can be found on Steam, but thatās rare.
Generally software is made for a client who are diversifying their staff training process.
Area Sales / Account manager - Bit of a pita but nice to have a breather from the corporate merry go round. Fortunate never to been made redundant in 30 years of working, all my ājobsā have been stepping stones to other things on my terms as a progression. I now have a Ā£1.5k 15 year old motor instead of the Ā£30k company steed and I love it! When I think of the āperkā BIK Iāve paid over the years grrrrrrr!
I did the Navy thing for 6 years, an experience I wouldnāt have missed!
I wanted to be a submariner, but as I love sailing, anything above the water wouldāve be fine too!
BIK can be very overrated as often you donāt get a choice. At least if you were to decide you desire a drag race with the neighbour, you canāt get called into the bosses office for misuse of company property
Go get those driving gloves @HTR !!
Chief Customer Officer - B2B SaaS
You should document your progress regularly and string it up as a cool āhow I went from 1p to Xā¦ and eventually a houseā. That would be the best ever marketing campaign for FT.
I went from 1p to no rent for a house. I wonder if you could actually trade with 1p, probably some of the FX/taxes would round up and vanish your investment.
This subreddit kind of gave me the idea, it sounds rad. Trade $1,000 up to $1m: $1k to $1 million
Before FT imposed the Ā£2 limit you could definitely have done this, I used to throw my spare pennies into stocks. Unfortunately mostly Sirius Minerals .
