Customer service for an online retailer. Basically, I spend all day at home, dealing with people who bought rubbish online, complaining it’s rubbish… But thanks to Covid, I get to work from home now and don’t have to deal with idiots in the office, just my very demanding cat.

We’re an asset management company that runs ebay and Amazon stores for other people. So, several names could be thrown in…
As for my home working supervisor (AKA Shadow), I had 2 cats, sisters, and we lost the tabby one - Tabitha - earlier this year. She was always sitting on my shoulder as I worked. The dark tortoiseshell is Shadow, who likes to come and shout at me, demanding attention through the day.

Left school at sixteen. Got a job in a small family construction company and stayed with them for 21 years:man_construction_worker:. Left late last year and currently working at a well known :de: parcel delivery firm. Work hard, pay your bills, set a little aside then enjoy yourself:beer:.

Well, after redundancy earlier in the year, with a bout of Covid thrown in for extra seasoning… I’m no longer with the online retailer and now work for a global cybersecurity training and certification group.
Still working from home, and a much better job! Silver linings!

And yes, very expensive training!

(sorry were a bit off topic). I was talking to one of the sec training guys not long ago about how the training was good, but I could get a masters degree for the cost of two one week courses…

training is usually good though. hopefully you enjoy the work

Yeah. I was surprised at the pricing, but the quality is excellent and the certification globally recognised. As a new employee I get to do the foundation course. If you’re interested look up giac.org
