Hi Achilles, I have been learning programming and data science courses in my free time. Apart from these activities, the last 7 years I have been reading a lot about stock market investments. That is how I discovered my passion for investments. I started writing a blog a few years ago and run a YouTube channel a few months ago.
With the knowledge available for free thanks to Internet, you do not need formal education, papers etc., especially to transition to being a programmer.

I did not use the odin project. mostly udemy + my projects, programming something which I find useful for myself so if you have a passion to investing, maybe try algorithmic trading.
