Well, I pay annually for Standard and happy to have Plus for a price of Standard as it gives me at least better FX fee.
However, I paid my annual fee in April and don’t know what happens with the unused bit.
Emailed Freetrade on Friday and never got a reply, very bad indeed.
So yes, generally no deal.

If you upgrade to an annual Plus plan as part of the offer you’ll be eligible for the cash back and the app should automatically calculate your fee deducting whatever you’ve already paid for annual standard. So you get refunded up until April

Well, I saw in another thread that the unused money will be counted towards the Plus payment, which is good.
The bad thing is I cannot see a way to change my subscription in the Android app.
Another epic failure Freetrade.

Anyone received the money from the black friday deal in their accounts yet? I understand today is the deadline but i still haven’t received anything.

Both an email and in-app notice, the cash now showing in the gia account.

I haven’t, received the following email instead:
We’re reaching out regarding the Black Friday offer we ran last year.

We noticed you upgraded to an annual Plus subscription during the campaign, but only for the remainder of your existing term, rather than a full year. For that reason we haven’t paid your cashback yet.

To get cashback on the offer, you can either:

  1. Switch to a full annual term and get the full £59.94 cashback, or
  2. Receive 50% cashback on the amount you paid when you upgraded during the campaign. (This will be less than £59.94 because you didn’t pay the full £118.88 annual price.)

I’m shocked.

Wow so glad I didn’t take up this offer based on this feedback. Was that even an option to select a full year? If not that is badly managed.
