Basically there are a few plus stocks I want to invest in and would like to just throw some money on them over a few months and then forget about them.

Yes, plus is a monthly membership so you could subscribe and buy your stocks then unsubscribe.
You’d then be able to hold or sell the plus stocks, but not buy any more unless you subscribed again.

You can only resubscribe t FT Plus 3 months after you cancelled it
