Can you buy US stocks in ISA?

Planning to open an ISA in order to buy US stocks, was wondering if freetrade allows buying US stocks in ISA accounts? Thanks in advance.

Yes you can :+1:t3:

Hi @tdrz
There is a column to show which stocks you can buy on freetrade in an ISA on the app:

Thanks Yas, I haven’t opened an ISA yet and in fact opening an ISA with freetrade depends on the fact whether I can buy US stocks or not  Do I understand correctly that all the stocks & ETFs available in freetrade to invest in outside an ISA account are also available in an ISA account?

Hi!
Unfortunately that’s an incorrect assumption. There are some reasons you can’t have certain stocks in your ISA… Various reasons - you’ll have to search the forum for those though as I’m not well versed. In the spreadsheet within the link I gave you will tell you which are ISA eligible and which are not.

From what I can tell the ones currently unavailable in ISA are REITs and ADRs. Which is only a handful of the full population
