ISA stocks

Hi, I am new into investing and wanted to know is there a limit on how many stocks and shares in can buy in my ISA. I know the limit is £20,000 but want to know can i hold multiple stocks like in the same tax year on the same account.

No limits, you can do whatever you want. As long as you only fund one during a tax year.

Only fund one ISA stocks account that is.

Put up to 20k in, lump sum or top up,(until next April then resets) don’t have another stocks ISA, trade as little or as much as you see fit with as many or as few instruments as you choose.

Enjoy :slightly_smiling_face:

Does it just work the same as the basic account? Is there some detailed information about Freetrade’s ISA I can read?

Your capital gains on basic is 6k…and the ISA is 20K?

I may just upgrade.

Capital gains / dividends within a ISA are exempt from UK tax.

ISAs are completely shielded from UK tax. You could turn £1 into a million and it would be tax-free. The £20k is the amount you can invest per year. Whatever you turn that £20k into, you keep.
