Weekly Wrap 02/11/18

#1

The Christmas List, ISAs and the stock description vote in this week’s wrap!

#2

Good update - look forward to the US Shares

Note the sweet bar showing the £20k annual limit for ISA contributions (that £20k is part of the ISA rules, not our limit).

Will there be any plans to let users set their own year’s limit, for example imagine you have 3 different ISA accounts across 3 different providers and you plan to split it like:

Type Amount
Cash ISA £6,000
Lifetime ISA £4,000
Freetrade Stocks & Shares ISA £10,000

So instead of showing £20,000 limit will a user be able to set it at £10,000 per/year and then have this limit managed in the app to avoid being oversubscribed for the year?

ISA user limits to manage annual allowance

Think you’re only allowed to pay into one a year? Or possibly one Cash and one S&S?

(Emma) #4

Isn’t it one of each type?

#5

You can split it between the different types but there’s a limit of one per/type per financial year.

For example you can pay into one Cash ISA, and a Stocks and Shares ISA in the same year as long as it’s below the annual limit ( £20,000 right now ).

Checkout MSE - Full ISA Guide as they normally explain it in plain English and provide examples.

It’s not on the roadmap at the moment but we’ll consider it later, please do post that as an #ideas so that everyone can vote for it & help us prioritise the functionality :raised_hands:

Exactly this.

@saf, you make me feel like I have a slow internet (not even BT!) because of this new picture :joy:
