If I were in product management I would want to look at some very basic data. How many of the people who trade even access the community pages let alone message?
Many of the discussions on the community pages to be honest are very low quality and/or are not relevant to trading or share information. OTH sometimes there are ādiscoveriesā to be made and things to learn. So there are gems.
If there were a complete integration of the community pages with trading there is a bigger risk of ramp and dump. A bigger burden on moderation.
Itās possible within Android to create a sort of pseudo app via Chrome, least thatās how I access here.
Essentially just ends up being an app icon which loads a web view in the background, but for all intents and purposes it serves a very similar function to a dedicated app.
Notification options appear to be there as well, although I donāt use them myself so canāt comment on if they work or what theyāre like.
Say I wanted to add BBC News (itās got an app already download that), when viewing in Chrome, click Settings (three vertical dots to the right) and select āAdd to home screenā
Iāve been thinking this over. I think the integration into the app is the only way to build this community further and unlock the potential.
having it in a separate platform creates friction. Itās also means the community can be policed easier with less sock puppets (I know youāre still here Juno )
Auto enrolment would boost participation and widen / diversify the number of voices
There is a good website called hotukdeals, they have their own platform which enable a treasure hunt style completion with pop up āFlamedeersā which equate the real world prizes.
More badges that are better displayed and limited edition flares available. Who know what award anyone has if nobody can see them.

Anyway this was just a ramble on a Sunday night. This is a wonderful community and I want to see it thrive and grow. What do you think @nickfell@Freetrade_Team is this a pipe dream?
I think itās a spectrum from ākooky millenial social investing appā to āsensible boring place to put your pension and ignore itā and I donāt think FT should venture too far either direction. I think one of the buttons on the main screen should be community and either link straight here or show a curated list of active topics (similar to the last email). But an in-app forum might make newbies assume the advice is actually advice despite all the warnings.
