I currently have a standard Freetrade account but would want to switch this to an ISA in the new tax year. Would I have to sell any investments in order to switch the account type or can this be done seamlessly?
Yes youโll need to sell your investments in order to switch to an ISA & then purchase them again once itโs open. Obviously you wonโt pay any fees for those sales / purchases though, if you use basic orders.
Thanks, Iโll pause my schduled investments and hold as cash until then.
