Converting Freetrade account to ISA

I currently have a standard Freetrade account but would want to switch this to an ISA in the new tax year. Would I have to sell any investments in order to switch the account type or can this be done seamlessly?

Yes youโ€™ll need to sell your investments in order to switch to an ISA & then purchase them again once itโ€™s open. Obviously you wonโ€™t pay any fees for those sales / purchases though, if you use basic orders.

Thanks, Iโ€™ll pause my schduled investments and hold as cash until then.
