You know, someone said its better to catch the virus early before the hospitals are swamped. Might as well pay them visit. Get it over with.
Just checking its only 3hrs drive for me

Was about to say the same thing . I’ll hold them so they don’t get infected.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on CCL and RCL there both taking a battering due to cronovirus. Fundamentally there good. Apart from there dept but in the cruise industry I expect that

Both have a good dividend with a low payout ratio

I suppose the question is - where they valued at the right price or close to it before the downturn? if you feel they were than its logical to think they will bounce back over time. For me some of my Chinese holdings have gone from around the + 20% point up to around - 10% down. I have bought more and I know its a gamble but If the Chinese market bounces back to level it was in the short/medium term it will be good profit

Why hasn’t anybody come up with a branded face mask. They’d make a fortune

Taiwan did, the mad men. If you want to buy a face mask there, it has the Taiwanese flag on it - something most visiting Chinese probably key wouldn’t be too keen on. :joy:

Latest news - Coronavirus: China announces drop in new cases for third straight day. Bound to see a small percentage bounce back in some china stock. MSCI China could be worth a punt

I wonder how the statistics will look like in one month, three months, and six months from now. Hopefully it will be history by then

The hope is that as the weather starts to warm up, the virus will struggle to survive, and things can get back to some form of normal.

He’s hoping for an early and warm dry Spring.

Sorry might be stupid question but wouldn’t it thrive in heat? Agree with you on the dry

I’m certainly no expert, and based on what I have read then here appears to be mixed views. However, the recurring theme seems to suggest that a virus struggles to survive in warmer, drier, brighter weather conditions. Also, it is thought that the effectiveness of a virus is lessened once the weather picks up as our immune system will at that point be less busy handling other things. So, based on a mixture of the conditions for a virus being tougher, and our ability to handle a virus being improved, then it seems to suggest that we should be hopeful that this could start to calm down a bit once the weather picks up.
