Freetrade don’t make promises, they say “soon”

That would be quite the flex wouldn’t it! Alas they’re just a pair of adidas.

Although if we get to do it again, and it’s not raining, I’ll rock a pair of crocs!

Now that makes me think of Carlsberg

With this explanation, this round R8 will definitely involve Crowdcube carry fee as CLN will be held by Crowdcube nominee and you won’t be able to sell the converted shares without Crowdcube brokering the transaction.
Is that a fair understanding?

OR once R8 CLN are converted into shares then we will hold them directly so potentially a possibility of bypassing Crowdcube? Please advise.

Can someone explain a bit more about why the R7 round is negatively perceived? Cheers…

Very simply it was for £9.25 a share in R7 and now is worth about a third of that amount, also it was said that there would be no carry fee but seems there is if you want to sell via CC but have not really got clear messaging about how to avoid it. Almost sounds like a cheat code to get around rather than official.

That is the risk from investing TBF but it seems the hype was blowing the value sky high in R7 and this round is much more realistic. I mean all the figures that FT have shown have not indicated such a huge decrease in value as the KPIs they mention all seem very positive for the current climate.

Put simply it is never a nice feeling that your shares are now worth a small fraction of before and if they do make a profit eventually you still have to go a % to CC. :+1: but those are the risks of investing!!

Fab response… cheers!

If I’d invested in R7 I’d be absolutely ectastic right now if Crowdcube ended up taking a 5% cut.

Will Crypto be allowed in SIPP?

Robinhood is down 73% over the last year, why would Freetrade not be valued any differently? They weren’t going to keep the share price the same after the last year?

Understand the feelings around the 5% fee with Crowdcube, but their service offers me the opportunity to invest in companies I would never of had a chance to 10 years ago.

Robin hood had many issues that meant their share price should of gone down lots. FT have given KPIs that do not indicate a massive loss in value was my point.

About the 5% I don’t mind paying it and have invested this round knowing it will be paid. What I don’t like is unclear messaging that was never cleared up before payment was taken for the last round that is all.

CC may be taking the mick, but they are quite clear in the charges in advance so no issues with that. :+1:

Was interested to see in the Pitch Desk there had been 270k forum posts - from the user summary I’ve read 129k of them …

Good points Gary.

Adam predicted 100m of revenue this year, outside of the pitch deck, obviously that is nowhere near where Freetrade are.

The world of investing is a different place to las year unfortunately. Risks are multiplied when investing in companies like Freetrade but the rewards are also too!

I still believe in Freetrades vision, so giving the team my backing 100%

I don’t really feel that Freetrade is the best place to invest money at the moment. Better opportunities out there.

My main concern is they seem to have forgotten how to deliver. In the last year they really haven’t released much and what they have released increased costs and reduced choice. Nevermind the whole EU mess they are in.

When they say Crypto is code ready. Anyone remember when they said the EU app was code ready. A year latr they are still in beta for one country.

Adam needs to get the team focused on getting shit out the door

You can see this in the very luke warm reception to this funding round. last time £8M in six hours. This time £1m in 12
