Dividend breakdowns

Hey all
One of the strategies I’m following for part of my investments is dividend paying stocks.

Can anyone explain what the difference between gross amount and gross distribution actually is? Trying to do the calculations and I’m sure I can’t figure it out

Can you link where you see this? These sound synonymous.

The terms are contained in the email you get when a dividend is reported and are a different amount proportionately to the shares you hold on every email I’ve gotten so far and not by the same amount either

Well, the gross amount is per share here. So your number of shares times the gross amount per share equals the gross distribution.
