ETF Accumulated Income

I hold shares in Vanguard ETF Accumulating VAGS. Income is reinvested and is reflected in an increased share price. I am advised that this income is taxable in the UK but I am unable to find out the amount of income that has been reinvested.

As I understand it the amount accumulated falls under ‘Excess Reportable Income’

There is a guide on the VG website

And here you will find the latest ‘report to participants’ under ‘vanguard funds’

So looking at the spreadsheet and info in FAQ I would assume…

for VAGS (ISIN IE00BG47K971) the reporting period for the fund was 1 July 2023 - 30 June 2024. So multiply amount of shares held on 30th June by the amount under ‘Excess of reportable income over distributions’, eg GBP 0.6794. The total is considered ‘distributed’ to you on the '31st December 2024 which then goes into your 24/25 TR.

Please do you own research here…maybe worth contact VG directly.

As far as i am aware stocks and shares arent taxed but if u buy crtpto that is classed as capital gains tax so is taxed

Only tax free if held in an ISA, not GIA though.
