Youā€™re right that we measure this type of advertising differently from online.
We understand the impact of broadcast ads in two main ways:

  1. How many people create accounts through unique web addresses/QR codes - this is relatively easy to track.
  2. Overall correlation between when we invest in these channels and impact on key metrics, including response and brand (e.g. awareness, consideration) - this is a bit trickier as there could be a number of different activities happening at the same time.
Over time, weā€™ll have more data on the investments we make across our marketing with which we can do more sophisticated analysis and isolate the specific impact of individual channels.

Thanks!

@Viktor has built a very strong team. Where I bring complementary skills is in building global brands.

I think about my targets on two-time horizons. Short-term, continue to fuel strong customer growth. Long-term, ensure weā€™re on the right path to making Freetrade the iconic brand for investing.

@nickfell What do you say would be the greatest risk to FreeTrade success ?

Ok, Iā€™m going to have to leave it there for now. Sorry. Lots of exciting things to be getting on with.

I hope this was useful. Thanks very much for all your questions - Iā€™ll try to get to any unanswered ones in the next week or so.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Ok, one moreā€¦

I know what you mean. Iā€™ve spoken with customers who were impacted by the dot-com bubble and have stayed away from the markets until they discovered Freetrade.

I think there are a few things that we need to do to help make our business model resilient. The first is placing a big focus on developing multiple sources of predictable recurring revenue (like SIPP, ISA or Plus subs) and making the value of these products a no-brainer - like paying for Netflix or Spotify each month.

Weā€™re also being very deliberate around the type of educational content we offer and the UX on the app to encourage everyone to remain focused on investment horizons that are measured in decades, not days.

@NeilB ā€¦ Despite your lack of Cineworld sharesā€¦ :grinning: :grinning: I think youā€™d be absolutely perfect for this roleā€¦

You are always very welcoming, helpful, informative, humourous and much more to members new and old.

@NeilB would make a good choice.

Work would include monitoring Junoā€™s various accounts and posts!

I turned 50 this month. I doubt I am alone. Been using the Internet since I was 17.

@nickfell Iā€™d love to know more about your plans to get more women into investing. If your mission is truly to get everyone investing it seems you should over index on women (who are typically less active investors than men).

I understand about 85% of FTs users are men so thereā€™s a lot of work to be done. Given no brokers are doing a good job of encouraging women to invest / building a platform that appeals to women I think thereā€™s a huge opportunity here.

Iā€™d personally love to hear from some top female fund managers / entrepreneurs if youā€™re planning any content / AMAs.

The role Nick mentioned above for anyone interested:

I like the way they worded the qualification section: ā€œBachelorā€™s degree from a reputable universityā€

What do they consider reputable? Does this include the university of American Somoa

Maybe one of the Russell Group Universities

What happened to ā€œyou will meet the boss and HRā€ These hipster companies are funny in their names for roles. Of all the leadership roles I have gone for or done over the years it has always been either meeting a director plus HR or a panel then a tour. And what the heck is a cultural interview?

I was watching the last episode of Steve Coogan in Happyish when I read the job spec and it made me feel older than I am and like him  :man_facepalming:

The application process consists of a short phone interview with the Talent Team, which will then be followed by a call with our VP of Marketing. If successful you will then do a take home task and present it back to a panel of our Marketing leadership team and then a final cultural interview with our Associate Director of People.

On the plus side if they find a candidate with all the requirements it should be great for the forums etc. :+1:

Shows they are taking the Community position pretty seriously. All that is not cheapšŸ˜…. The ā€˜take home taskā€™ will be how to deal with a particularly difficult community member.
