Free share when buying UK treasury bill

Is the free share for transferring 10,000+ valid when transferring 10,000 to buy the newly offered UK treasury bills?

The criteria states that you need to transfer Β£10K or more to your GIA, ISA or SIPP. It also states if you make withdrawals or transfers which drop your account value prior to the free share being allocated then the value of that free share will be impacted, and if it drops below Β£10K there will be no free share.

As Treasury Bills are essentially a new account alongside GIA, ISA and SIPP, the way I read it is if you buy them with the funds you have transferred then this is classed as a transfer.

So, I’d say it would not be valid if you buy Treasury Bills with the transferred money.
