thatās good to knowā¦ weāll see how it goes, iām sure they will come out the other side with flying colours and redeem themselves if the google playstore reviews are anything to go by and maybe win a few people back.
as for the terminalā¦ well it costs 40k for the minimum 2 year agreement (canāt really compare the two) ā¦ the most fun on the terminal is POSH ! - some of the stuff being sold on there is amazing!
Brian, if itās you and you ever have other temptations to repeat the same points you have already stated multiple times in many different formats, I am offering to buy out your shares at the Series B price to give you a peace of mind.
Sergey if this is you and you have never repeated anything then you are an amazing guy. Keep up the good work. I have a little saying,I will share it with you āLive and Let Liveā
I am struggling with the Freetrade app purely because I can not invest in the core funds that I wish to, which prevents me from building a portfolio of my choice and everything is manual and requires a lot of time & effort. I did wait far too long to see quite simple basics introduced which has left me wondering.
The part I can not get around is the only way to keep a US etf separate from other investments, is to buy three. This simply becomes a pain.
The path is leading me back to Vanguard purely for simplicity of a core holding. Although Vanguard UK also does not offer a small cap value etf or a total international etf, which then still forces you to acquire way more funds than you rly want to be messing with. Slightly disappointing.
I am not sure the platform currently works that well for me. Great company great people, though I am struggling because for long term holdings, I do rly want to follow my strategy. This is not achievable yet.
Hopefully the Auto invest feature coming this year can take some of that pain away
Thereās nothing anyone can do about Vanguard UK not offering Vanguard US ETFs.
Anyways I really hope they can prioritize auto invest cos like I am a long term investor and I really donāt wanna keep logging into the app. Just want a direct debit feature so that each month it would just invest it for me.
If the goal here is to get people investing over the long period then. This needs to be sorted out. Like I said I donāt wanna keep logging in. Like everything else in life. Phone bills, rent/mortgages etc. You donāt need to keep logging in to pay these. And thatās what i want and many people here too.
In the app, enter ISA or SIPP, then top right burger menu icon, then Regular Investing, and youāll be in the regular investing section. Mine is empty now as have moved regular investments to Freetrade Looking forward to some sort of autopilot feature for freetrade too, should arrive this year, along with the expansion plans.
Thanks. Found it. According to the description on the link I have to choose a fund manager. Or select between FT350 stocks and investment trusts. Thatās not what Iām looking for. I want to manage it myself and have a wider range of options to choose from. Would that be possible?
It seems everyone wants āauto investā, because they are too lazy to keep an eye on their investments and want to save 5 minutes every day.
To be honest, I donāt care about auto invest or pies or whatever, I wonāt ever use them, because it would make me complacent about my investments.
I am more than happy with the app as it is, there are only two things I would like to be added, 1. more historical info about a company and 2. Instant bank transfers. I hate waiting a few hours for my money to appear.
I think more time should be put into adding more stocks and expansion plans, than gimmicks for lazy investors.
Itās not lazy, itās the smart and proven way to invest. Put a certain amount in regular intervals in ETFs (or stable companies) and forget about it for years or decades. Voila, youāre rich. Human nature and emotions are what leads to underperformance.
I donāt need auto invest to do that. In fact that is exactly the investment strategy I currently employ. Once a month, Iāll be transferring my cash, and then Iāll spend 15 minutes or so, rebalancing and buying the ETFās and Dividend stocks I require.
I find it strange that people will happily spend hours on social media and forums like this every week, but want to save a few minutes when actually putting their hard earned cash into investments.
