Iāve had my JISA with fidelity for 3 years no issues
Same years I have been asking for bonds took a while for them to even consider it was a great idea and even send a email out saying it would be able by end of last year and nothing money donāt grow without work, saying goes idle money donāt make money we waited long enough to long for basic features still no total network and also api so I can track my dividends and portfolio, Iām sure we will have to wait another year for one release we need from you.
Did all investors get an email? I didnāt get any communication. Found out on here 4 days later.
Iām off too, but unfortunately I have a yearly subscription with FT until November, so will have some shares in the ISA until then.
But I have opened a T212 ISA and Iām very happy with it, and will add funds there instead of FT.
Well I tried to open a t212 account on an iphone 13, and during every sign up attempt their app either crashed, or hung.
WTF? Are all of these retail investor apps shit?
Iāll just cash out and stay with HL funds.
For what its worth, the T212 app works without issue for me on my iPhone 13 (pro).
Maybe you could try to open the account via the website, then logon using the app.
Mentioned this elsewhere but this chat seem more relevant based on what others are saying. Iāve used Freetrade for 4/5 years and joined when they were still a small start up and been with them the whole way and part of the journey, but thatās it for this app now.
Lots are saying theyāre transferring to T212 but couldnāt get on board with the app, plus wonāt feel like part of that same journey on T212.
Mentioned thereās a new start-up called Investa that are launching soon, seen them on crowdcube so Iāll give a try first, wondering if anyone else has tested it / on the waiting list?
Another person completely missing the point.
Never mind. Wasted enough of my life on FT.
They probably wonāt take you along the journey. And thereās no community over there. Also, they say this on their homepage:
It wonāt be long, stay tuned!
Thatās a huge red flag. Same old fintech nonsense.
They do have Freetradeās former CTO so they should be able to avoid known pitfalls.
Good luck!
They have been launching soon with the message āIt wonāt be long, stay tuned!ā for what seems like a year now.
Im not sure if they will have a US wallet but their foreign exchange fee of 0.99% is
Donāt understand why ppl say that about t212 tbh. Itās different but thatās normal. I saw someone complain about unable to run on old iPhone.
They have web version too.
Anyway Iām on ibkr.
We are now spoiled with good options.
Well said, been an investor since 2019 so Iām extremely lucky to have broken even. Laughable that they sold for so low to outdated competition. As a Tech Lead I can guarantee you the app will be offshored to India and die a slow death, saying that the app doesnāt look all to different to 2019 so maybe thatās exactly what it deserves. Iād imagine the real losers are Crowdcube though, this is an awful advert for dodgy companies ripping off crowd investors.
Their website has not got a login/signup on their website. There is only a āGet the appā.
People always finds problems with simple things.
I wish they had done that longtime ago. I have seen trading apps and websites from India, lot better.
I even suggested the design for FT. Check Zerodha screenshots.
Also FT search never worked for me.
I have seen FT brag about own tech stack, serverless, who cares .
Even Monzo, why spend time on Crowdcube investment through their app.
I havenāt invested in investa seems like a scam to me they wonāt survive and one of the guys is from Freetrade I think ibkr is way better plus Robinhood is doing options also the space is crowded for investa to even gain attraction plus Iām done with crowdfunding think crowdfunding should be banned as 90% we get back less.
Iām afraid I donāt agree with you on this, although Iām not sure whether crowdfunding is regulated or not, if itās not then Iād agree to much more stringent regulation.
I basically describe crowdfunding in the following way: āTake the money in your hand, drop it into the toilet bowl, flush!ā
Basically most companies will only crowdfund either when they are in trouble or when they are just starting out, either way a big risk.
Iāve only invested Ā£100 in two companies using crowdfunding: Honest Burgers and Redemption Roasters. Iāve invested only a small amount of money in both because Iām a regular user and love both brands. Iām supporting them, but not in any way viewing it as an investment. If I make a return on either, Iāll see it as a bonus.
I feel very sorry for FreeTrade investors and I really wish that so many hadnāt lost so much money, but I think crowdfunding is perfectly ok as long as people do it with their eyes wide open.
I think that is just the mobile version of their website.
If you visit the website from a laptop you should see an āopen accountā option.
