Hopefully things will accelerate soon, they’ve just started taking people from the main queue after investors. Good news is the app is looking really good, and despite a few minor glitches as you’d expect, it’s pretty solid and reliable and looks like it’s going to be a great way to invest (IMO).
I’d plan to start an ISA next April with free trade, and in the meantime build up a war chest of cash in a savings account that you can kick start your ISA with next year. By that time hopefully the initial queue will be almost cleared - you can boost yourself up the queue a little as well by referring with your link.

We’re hoping to have invited everyone who’s in the waiting list now to create an account by early next year.
But if you recommend Freetrade to someone else then you’ll get bumped a lot closer to the top so you’ll probably only have to wait weeks, rather than months, to get access
