Ā£60 from 8 free shares - canāt complain!
I had 23 free shares - smallest Ā£5, and largest was Ā£8.28 but in total Ā£127. It could have been as low as Ā£69 so Iām more than happy.
All these free shares and nobody has a new user number?
I think the issue is most of these referrals were not āfriendsā, more peed off 212 tweeters who stumbled across the Freetrade referral linksā¦
I think āwaded throughā would be more accurate than āstumbled acrossā given how many were flying around! Strong effort from the FT community!
Loved the Viktor interview. Comes across sooo well.
However am I the only one that is incredibly concerned about his amazing vanishing right ear trick?
and me. iād back up the truck at that price
The new stock request form is missing
Wasnāt this the discussion everyone was having about 2 months agoā¦ people offering to sell at the last Ā£2.50 valuation and prospective buyers saying āwell what about the EIS benefit that took your net buy price down to Ā£1.70 and prevents future capital gains liability?ā
Could this be one of those transactions finally been processed??
When someone said they want to sell at Ā£5 the other day, Adam popped up with his diamond hands emoji, so iām guessing Ā£1.70 will be a huge regret within months!
I said I would update on my 27 free shares, (1 missed this this weeks cutoff).
It seems my hours on twitter plugging FT was not deemed worthy of getting a big share, I averaged Ā£6.03 per share. A good mix of US and UK stocks, and a few ETFs and REITs.
Only one was a company I already held, Evraz, so I was happy with that. I managed to get 4 Avast shares, which was funny as only last week, Iād only paid my fee for this year with Avast for my laptop virus protection. A couple of other doubles.
My highest priced share was the low cost US airline Spirit $SAVE, at Ā£22.20.
As these are the only shares in my GIA , (everything else is in my ISA), Iām going to let these shares just sit, and see if a random bunch of shares outperforms my current strategies.
Interestingly they are already over 3% up.
Hint, Hint, to FT management, for my last free share any chance of a biggie
Viktor working from home that is the office
Zoom hasnt made AI that can 100% replace humansā¦ he was in the kitchen?
Iām more concerned about the damp patches in the ceiling
Was expecting to hear Ā« we have had meteoric growth Ā»!
Adam is not allowed on TV anymore after what he has said on Twitter about hedge funds.
Just kidding. Nice focus on the long term.
May be in this context next time if it is a UK outlet a mention of SIPPs would be great.
he should go full Chamath or Mark Cuban on Cnbc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhZZnVs-KM4 but Drivewealth are coowned by the hedgies
Thanks for sharing. Ā£6 a share seems alright actually
I had two. One was Ā£17 the other Ā£5. Was pleasently surprised.
Any numbers?
In the absence of a fresh number, whatās everyoneās predictions on the current daily growth rate. Iām predicting it is still going strong around 5K/day. Momentum builds more momentum
This is scamā¦ to every existing Freetrade shareholder - do not sell below at least Ā£4-4.4!!!
I would even say at an absolute minimum Ā£5. Logic being I think the SP will be Ā£7ish for Series B. Ā£2 discount given they are essentially illiquid.
Not sure what you mean by scam here but just wanted to clarify from my end just in caseā¦
I got a DM today from someone on here asking whether I was interested in selling some of my shares. I was previously looking to do this in late 2019 but thankfully the same person never replied back then. Canāt believe I almost sold for around Ā£1. Anyway, they obviously decided to try their luck now and said they just completed a ālargeā deal for Ā£1.75 per share. Thatās all the info I know.
Donāt really know how large the deal was but that price seems insanely cheap to me too!
Edit: I should add Iām definitely not looking to sell at that price
