I think by scam itās along the lines of āpretend someone else has sold for Ā£1.75 in the hope that others will think thatās the going rateā. Maybe someone did, because they really needed the money now. But hold tight. Great things to come.
Name and shame the punter. Sounds like a completely fake story. No rational seller should be parting ways with shares for under Ā£7.5 I would think.
Iām not really one for naming and shaming but obviously would consider posting if people thought I was the one making up the story.
Great interview but seriously, ditch the fake background. Theyāre so distracting!
Any update on the numbers?
If someone is falsely enticing others to sell shares at a significant below market value they should be found out and exposed.
Definitely donāt name and shame! It is a low price to sell, likely someone who was quite desperate for cash, so not Warren Buffett or deep f****** value!!
Agreed. I canāt be the only one missing the Freetrade neon sign in the office?
I donāt mean name and shame the seller. I mean the buyer who, if he is misleading the seller with false information, is doing a horrible thing. This aside - User number update?
Ah, somehow didnāt think of it from that side.
I noticed that the google sheets has been updated with a latest number of 542,180 as of 05/02/2021.
@zaccharles what is the source of the numbers you are currently updating the tracker with? And thank you for maintaining the spreadsheet - appreciate this all takes time and effort.
It was one of my friends - I am friends with Zac and messaged him the number but didnāt have time to put it on here yesterday.
Anyone can offer any price they want for shares, and itās up to the seller whether or not to accept. I donāt see any reason to name and shame someone just because they made a lowball offer and someone accepted it
I agree with @Dave No need to name and shame. Maybe the seller was distressed financially and looking to raise some quick funds. Goodness knows with recent events , lockdowns , job losses etc it would not be surprising.
If there are any more small holders needing to sell. Hit me up.
I have my own approach to valuing Freetrade, and based on current growth I arrive at a figure of Ā£900m. Others are entitled to their own view. Do you think lower or higher than this is fair?
I hope youāre rightā¦ but for me it all depends on the underlying fundamentals (active users, average deposits, average trades, plus/ISA/SIPP users).
Very difficult to value itā¦ could be anywhere between Ā£300m and Ā£1bnā¦ I suspect Series B will see us closer to Ā£500-600m
I would think around the 400mn mark midway through this year when they raise again (assuming it is midway through this year).
Canāt wait for the pitch deck!
Itās been 10 days now and heās still not even had as much as a response in app.
Which is annoying for me as Iāve spent the last year telling him how good Freetrade is
I appreciate the last week has been crazy and there is probably a big backlog of users needing manual verification, but can something be done to speed this up?
Can you get him to DM me on here and Iāll take a look.
