We’d love to list the stocks from all of those markets! But for now, we have to take things step by step & the Stock Requests help us to prioritise what to add next.

Here’s some more details about why we haven’t done this yet -

Adding all US tradable stocks, ETFs, preferred stocks

To add some more details, the fundamental challenge here is that every new stock adds operational costs and complexity, so we want to optimise the list to be what our users want. We also need to consider the impact on user experience as there’s only so many stocks that we can add to the list in Discover (we’re at 250+ now) before it takes a very long time to scroll through them! So we’ll be reinventing Discover in the future. And despite those considerations, as our user base grows dramatically…

Freetrade customers can now invest in the majority of the securities in the FTSE 250, along with over 120 US stocks from our Stock Universe.
