I’m disappointed that I’m unable to refer another friend having successfully referred someone earlier in the week. A work colleague was primed and ready to go but I don’t have a referral link. He held off for s couple of days, not sure if he ended up signing up anyway or if he used another service.
I checked with in-app support but was told that I can’t request another link but may receive one at some point. I appreciate that this is intended to be a bit more personal than a random link you can just stick on social media, and I actually think it’s a very good way to do it. I do however feel that once someone has been successfully referred, you should be able to refer someone else straight away.

It’s entirely random, so it’s exciting to hear back which share everyone got. 
People are telling us they got shares they weren’t adventurous enough to buy themselves or businesses they find intriguing now but never thought about investing in.
We took some technical feedback from this test round of allocating the reward shares. We’ll be working on it in the next few days, and allocate a lot more in the next few weeks, and we won’t stop until every gets their free shares!

@Viktor, is it possible to prioritize the free share allocation to new users over existing users ? As they have just joined and super excited about share trading, FT as well as free share but if this process will take months then they will lose momentum/interest in FT e.g. one of my friend joined almost 1 month ago and now losing interest and I am not in a position to provide him any confirmed date. FYI in other incentive case as soon as they joined and met the conditions, they got the reward.

We’ll share the timelines as soon as we can guarantee them, and we’re not far out. Hopefully we can share the dates next week, and you can tell your friend when to keep an eye on their Freetrade app for a surprise share.

- Funded your account.

Does this form mangle plus-aliased email addresses? I filled this out right after my R5 investment, and also filled out a form for previous investors (I’m a R3, R4, R5 investor) over a month ago, but still haven’t got incentivised share referrals.
No this should be fine! Can you DM me your Freetrade account email or reach out on in-app chat and i’ll look into this for you.
Just want to close this loop that FT team has fixed the issue with Android messenger and now I can see the notifications from FT responses on messenger. Thank you FT team for such a quick turn around.

How long did you have to wait from referral to the share being revealed. I’ve been waiting ages
We’ve started to test revealing the real shares yesterday. We should continue next week, and roll them out to everyone over the next few weeks. 
They will be worth the wait!

Hey all, I’d probably change the wording in the queued free share. Take out the “few weeks” as it’s been a lot longer than a few.
I’m personally not bothered how long it takes as it’s a trial. But I’ve had people ask me when it’s revealed.

I’ve actually been wondering how this is going to work once it’s live. Will free shares be awarded immediately when the top up is applied? Will both the referrer and referee get their free share at the same time? Will there always be a few days or weeks to wait to build suspense and keep them thinking about FT for longer?
The last point may be related to this theory about being reminded of something at particular intervals in order to remember that something. Perhaps giving the free share at the right time could help people remember the name etc. Or I could be over thinking it
