Nokia Oyj šŸ“±šŸ‡«šŸ‡® (ADR) - NOK

Requested to sell this on Wednesday but didn’t get approval from compliance until today :frowning: Only just got out above $5

Is it too late to buy now @4.26? My app has been frozen for 2 days

So did I on the 29th and they were stopped and later refunded.
And I still can’t buy them on Freetrade today.

The stock market is closed on weekends. Today is Saturday…

You’d normally still be able to place a basic order though.

Yes. And I’ve placed one just after reading your post. And cancelled it immediately. No sweat.

It is still not possible to buy today, Saturday, because the markets are closed.

But it is possible, following the suggestion on your post, to place a basic order that would be executed Monday by 3.00pm assuming the markets are functioning regularly.

Thanks

nokia are positioned well because of geo and 5g.

I can see you didn’t do yours
Anyhow I’ll see what Monday brings…

So you managed to place a NOK order then cancelled it? I’m all ears.

No. Not really.

I picked a stock at random and placed a basic order. And then cancelled it. I was answering to another post where that particular ticker is not mentioned. I didn’t connect the dots between your post and the other person’s post.

Now that I’m coming back from trying to place a basic order on NOK I can say I couldn’t do it. The buy button is not active. And I’m not surprised given recent events. Maybe it’s one of the stocks which were blocked for reasons abundantly visited in several other threads. It probably is.

I hope everything is back to normal Monday so each one may have the liberty to express the will each one is responsible for.

Thanks for clearing that up. The buy button isn’t active for me either (Phew)

I looked yesterday and AMC stocks are available, but GME can only be purchased with a premium account. It really is all over the place. :unamused:

Unfortunately a major fuck-up made by people who are expected to know better happened across the pond. And now those who want to profit from it in a free market are blocked because the institutions that make the market fear being dragged by the prevaricators to the shit hole and are imposing requirements in order to try to stay afloat. As a consequence, the infractors are also protected, and those who want to beat the crap out of them see their hands tied…

I have no interest in this stock btw. I haven’t read anything about it. Have my plate full in terms of reading and studying stuff for the next year or so, because work

Good luck

Any idea why Freetrade isn’t letting us buy shares in NOK?

Their FX clear reduced their capacity to 1/18th of the normally capacity.

But the Freetrade team have been working all weekend to find a work around to enable trading again.

Details can be found here:

Ps: welcome to the community

Why is Freetrade not allowing us to buy $NOK? This is a joke.

Hello, welcome to the community

As mentioned in their comms, they’ve been left in the lurch by their FX partner. They’ve been working throughout the weekend to enable US trading for users however given the situation they need to roll this fix out slowly to ensure it’s success.

I have full faith that Freetrade will delivery purchases in NOK as soon as technically possible to do so.

Unlike some brokers, Freetrade side with the retail investor and haven’t made the decision to halt trading in Nokia. They have been forced to do so by their FX partner

Looks like it hasnt been fixed, not allowing us to buy NOK.

Read the first post of this:

tl;dr = buying of US stocks will/should begin rolling out in a while.
