(Request) FSTA Fidelity MSCI Consumer Staples Index ETF

Looking for a way to invest in Walmart, via etc - read recently that they are apparently set to become an Amazon challenger with their own membership scheme

If that’s your reason, why not just buy Walmart?

The etf is currently $39.21 - Walmart is 140.30 USD - it is a cheaper way to get my foot on the ladder, alongside all the other holdings in this etf which can be found here FIDELITY COVINGTON TRUST MSCI CONSUMER STAPLES INDEX ETF

Freetrade has fractional shares. You can buy 2£ worth of Walmart while needing to buy ~40£ worth of ETF. So Walmart is much cheaper and doesn’t have management costs.

Edit: This is also a US etf, which won’t be added, because they don’t fulfil the documentation necessary for funds in the EU.

I’m very new to this, so this is great news to me, please excuse my ignorance, how does this work and thanks for your replies, much appreciated

No worries!
Fractional shares just means that you can also buy fractions of a share. If Walmart is 140$, you can just buy for example 14$ worth of Walmart shares and so hold 0.1 shares of Walmart.
You would then get 0.1 times the dividend as well.
Minimum to invest on Freetrade is 2£ per trade.

Just done a test buy, excellent, thanks for the info
